ALOHA CARMICHAEL
Aloha Carmichael is one of the most recognizable artists today. At age seven, Aloha landed the titular role in Disney’s It’s Aloha!—a show about a young girl who becomes an unwitting global pop star. The show ran for ten seasons, after which Aloha released her first album not related to the show. It went seven times platinum and solidified her as a global star in her own right. Several smash hit albums later, Aloha landed at River Records, where she has forged a new artistic path for herself, culminating with her latest release Aloha the Brave.

Alessandra Tennison is one of River Records’ brightest new stars. Her debut single, “Blindsided” peaked at Number 8 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, and her debut album is on its way. Alessandra cites Laila Fitzgerald, Joni Mitchell, 22 Goats, Carly Simon, Joan Armatrading, and Fiona Apple among her musical idols, but we at River Records look forward to this new artist paving a path in music that’s all her own.

LAILA FITZGERALD
Laila Fitzgerald is an American singer songwriter, originally from Whittier, California outside of Los Angeles. A classically trained pianist, Laila is known for her sumptuous, soulful voice and ability to deliver a song with immense emotion and range. She began composing songs on piano by age thirteen, and gained recognition on YouTube for her covers of other artists’ songs. At age eighteen, Laila signed with Gigantic Records. But after artistic differences with that label, she left and released music independently for two years. At age twenty, Laila was signed by River Records, and that’s when her self-titled debut album put Laila on the map. The album was certified gold and gained Laila a nomination at the Grammys for best new artist and a win for her producer, Zeke Emmanuel, as Grammy for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical. Laila is known for writing songs about her love life, much of it not flattering. However, she rarely confirms her relationships in the media, preferring instead to let her fans decode her lyrics and draw their own conclusions.

FUGITIVE SUMMER
Fugitive Summer is an American band of musicians originally formed in Chicago, Illinois. The band is comprised of members Savage (lead singer and guitarist), Kai Cook (bass), Kendrick Cook (drums), Ruby Connolly (keys and synth), and Titus Connolly (guitar and synth). The band was originally formed as teens by brothers Kendrick and Kai Cook, who began making music together from a very young age.
When they met teenager Savage after he moved into their apartment complex, they recruited him as their lead singer and co-writer. After a couple years of writing songs and recording them at the Cook brothers’ apartment, the trio released several singles independently, on the internet, but it wasn’t until the band met and recruited twin siblings Titus and Ruby Connolly at an underages club in Chicago that the band found its full stride. Once the full line-up was established, Fugitive Summer released their first EP independently, gaining a sizable following online, thanks to their song, “Sorry for the Inconvenience,” which led to the band getting signed by River Records in 2017. Their self-titled debut album the following year with River Records, which included a re-recording of “Sorry for the Inconvenience” went platinum, plus many other hit singles. The album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America and nominated for several awards at the Grammys. Since then, the band has released four full albums and several songs on movie soundtracks. Their last album, “Fuel to the Fire” gained the distinction of being one of the few albums in history to have every one of its singles achieve gold certification or better. Savage, the frontman of Fugitive Summer, has gained fame in recent years as one of the world’s top sex symbols. His face and famous abs have graced a flurry of magazine covers in recent years.
